dramatically improves image quality in all situations. With a powerful
combo of DIGIC 4 processing & an excellent sensor, you can shoot at
full-resolution at up to ISO 3200 (10mp). Additionally, the
high-sensitivity, back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivers fantastic image
quality even in low-light. Images taken at high-ISOs have very little

The Canon IXUS 300 also features a bright, wide f2.0 lens which can
capture all the action; low-light images and fast-moving subjects at
higher shutter speeds. It has a 28mm wide angle coverage so that you
get more in your frame, whilst the advanced optical IS reduces blurring.
High-speed or slow-motion
Combined with the CMOS sensor, the Canon HS System enables continuous
shooting at up to 3.7 shots/sec at 10MP or 8.4 shots/sec at 2.5MP,
making the Canon IXUS 300 ideal for capturing the action in fast-paced
sports events. Alternatively you can switch to 240fps Super Slow Motion
Movie mode and record the action unfolding in amazing slow motion.
Clear 3" PureColor II G LCD
A 16:9 aspect 3" PureColor II G LCD is ideal for shooting and playback
of HD movies in wide format. Tempered glass improves strength and
heightens visibility in bright conditions.
Effortless shooting
The Canon IXUS 300 also offers Smart Auto mode, which uses Scene
Detection Technology to determine the shooting scene from subject
brightness, contrast, distance and hue. The camera selects the
appropriate scene from a possible 22, and applies the optimal settings.
Smart Flash Exposure intelligently adjusts flash for best results while
Smart Shutter mode lets you trigger the shot by winking, smiling, or
after an extra face enters the frame.
High Definition movies
Make your own HD 720p movies with stereo sound and optical zooming
using the Canon IXUS 300 movie mode, then connect to compatible HDTV
using the integrated HDMI port and watch them back on the big screen!
Get creative
Switching to Av or Tv modes allows you to add your personal touch, by
adjusting depth of field or freezing motion. Creative modes include
Fish-eye Effect, Miniature Effect and Low Light mode.
