The data controller collecting the data described herein is the Camera Centre. Where it is necessary to meet the purpose for which information has been submitted by the visitor, personal data collected by the Camera Centre may be transferred to other Camera Centre firms within the Camera Centre organisation. By submitting data through the Camera Centre web site, the visitor is providing explicit consent to the transmission of data collected through the web site for the fulfilment of the visitor‘s voluntary requests.
1. Data Collection
We only collect personally identifiable information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors to the Camera Centre web site. The Camera Centre receives limited identifiable information, such as name, title, company address, email address, and telephone and fax numbers, from web site visitors. Typically, such identifiable information is collected to:
• Register for certain areas of the web site
• Enquire for further information
• Distribute requested reference materials
Demographic information, including gender and occupation, is not actively sought, but may be submitted when a visitor responds to an online job application. It is the Camera Centre‘s policy to limit the information collected to the minimum required to complete a visitor‘s request. In any instance where non-mandatory information is sought, the web site visitor will be notified of this at the point of collection.
Visitors are also able to send emails through the site. Their messages will contain the user‘s name and email address, as well as any additional information the user may wish to include in the message. Because we use the web site as a recruiting tool, a visit to the web site may also result in the user sending a cv to an individual within the Camera Centre.
The Camera Centre‘ intention is not to seek any sensitive information through our web site unless legally required for recruiting purposes. Sensitive information includes data relating to: race or ethnic origin; political opinions; religious or other similar beliefs; trade union membership; physical or mental health: sexual life or criminal record. We suggest that you do not provide sensitive information of this nature. If you do wish to provide sensitive information for any reason, the Camera Centre accepts your explicit consent to use that information in the ways described in this privacy statement, or as described at the point where you choose to disclose this information.
The Camera Centre collects personal information from you in order to fulfil requests for print, electronic products and services. We only require information that is necessary to fulfil such requests. If you are requesting that the Camera Centre send you quotes or further information, we will only require your name, email and/or postal address.
The Camera Centre links to hundreds of other web sites; we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those web sites.
2. Non-personal information collected by web system
Our web servers automatically record general information on all users who browse the content of our web site. These data collection systems gather:
• Your IP address

The logs are periodically summarised and analysed to study site usage over time to help us improve the site‘s organisation, performance and usefulness. This information is only examined in the aggregate, not at the individual level.

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998, we provide the opportunity for you to opt out of certain types of usage of your personal data when supplied to us via registration and order forms. Should you wish your personal data to be removed from our records or updated, please contact the Camera Centre to request this.
4. Use of data

This data is not shared for secondary or unrelated purposes with other entities in the firm or a third party, unless otherwise disclosed at the point of collection. If there is an instance where such information may be shared, the visitor will be asked for permission beforehand.
The Camera Centre makes every practical effort to avoid excessive or irrelevant collection of data. If a visitor believes that excessive information has been collected through the web site, we encourage the visitor to contact us to raise their concerns.
